Hilda Delgadillo Rodr\u00edguez<sup>4<\/sup> y Dr. Jos\u00e9 Manuel Fragoso<sup>2<\/sup> mfragoso1275@yahoo.com.mx<br>Departamentos de Hemodinamia<sup>1<\/sup>, Direcci\u00f3n de Investigaci\u00f3n<sup>2<\/sup>, Biolog\u00eda Molecular<sup>3<\/sup> y Consulta Externa<sup>4<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Grupo de Gen\u00e9tica Intervencionista surge con la premisa de investigar y comprender el papel que tiene la gen\u00e9tica en el proceso inflamatorio, tromb\u00f3tico y fibrinol\u00edtico, que conllevan al desarrollo de la restenosis despu\u00e9s del implante de stent coronario medicado o no medicado. Fue fundado en el 2008 por el doctor Marco A. Mart\u00ednez R\u00edos y el doctor Gilberto Vargas Alarc\u00f3n, en conjunto con otros investigadores de alto nivel como la doctora Aurora de la Pe\u00f1a, la doctora Hilda Delgadillo Rodr\u00edguez, el doctor Marco A. Pe\u00f1a Duque y el doctor Jos\u00e9 Manuel Fragoso. Datos experimentales han demostrado que el stent coronario (dispositivo) mantiene abierto el interior de un vaso sangu\u00edneo que se ha estrechado por la formaci\u00f3n de la placa ateroscler\u00f3tica, tratando de evitar que se vuelva a ocluir. No obstante, datos institucionales han demostrado que despu\u00e9s del implante de este dispositivo coronario, un porcentaje de pacientes (12 a 32%) desarrollan restenosis temprana despu\u00e9s de 6 meses de su colocaci\u00f3n. La restenosis se caracteriza por 2 principales procesos: la hiperplasia neo-\u00edntima y la remodelaci\u00f3n vascular, acompa\u00f1ada del estrechamiento del lumen de la arteria, la formaci\u00f3n temprana de trombos e inflamaci\u00f3n aguda. Lo anterior es resultado de la combinaci\u00f3n de antecedentes gen\u00e9ticos y otros factores de riesgo como la obesidad, la diabetes, la dislipidemia, la hipertensi\u00f3n y factores asociados al dispositivo como el di\u00e1metro y largo del dispositivo, y si es medicado o no medicado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 15 a\u00f1os de investigaci\u00f3n, el Grupo de Gen\u00e9tica Intervencionista ha logrado dar a conocer en 15 manuscritos a nivel internacional el papel de algunos polimorfismos o variantes gen\u00e9ticas en genes como REN, ACE, CETP y ABCB1, que codifican para prote\u00ednas que tienen un papel importante en el metabolismo de l\u00edpidos, el tono vascular y la bios\u00edntesis de f\u00e1rmacos, que conllevan al desarrollo temprano de la placa ateroscler\u00f3tica y sus complicaciones.
